This training is mainly conducted in the Power Query editor of Power BI Desktop, but the concepts learned can easily be transposed to the Power Query editor of Excel. It teaches advanced techniques for acquiring, transforming and consolidating data, via automated queries and is aimed at users who have to handle a lot of unstructured data. It also teaches how to reconstruct databases from information available on different websites, using Web Scraping techniques.

To follow this training, it is strongly recommended to have either: Followed the Power BI training (level 3) or passed more than 70% of its online pre-test.

• Import data into the query editor

• Perform basic transformations (unpivot columns, merge columns, change data types, add conditional columns and custom columns, etc.)

• Merge data side-by-side and end-to-end

• Explore the M code generated by its queries and grasp the gist of it
