It is essential to take into account the working environment of employees. We need to ensure that the environment in which employees work is decent and safe. This is the role of industrial hygiene.
Industrial hygiene encompasses procedures and tools designed to control occupational environmental factors that could adversely affect employee health. This involves identifying and assessing the harmfulness of physical, chemical or biological agents potentially present in employees' working environment. Depending on their characteristics, these agents can cause illness in workers exposed to them. The elimination of these agents, once identified, also falls within the scope of industrial hygiene.

A summative evaluation must be passed at the end of each module before moving on to the next. A certificate of completion will be issued on completion of the course.
