How to inspect, use and maintain a portable fire extinguisher in order to be able to respond adequately when a fire starts.
In more detail, the student will become familiar with the following concepts:
• Define the legal framework relating to occupational health and safety in general.
• Define the NFPA 10 standard in relation to portable fire extinguishers.
• Identify the components of the fire triangle.
• Distinguish between the different classes of fire.
• Distinguish between extinguishing means and extinguishing agents.
• Apply the instructions for using a portable fire extinguisher.
• Properly inspect and maintain a portable fire extinguisher.

Évaluation sommative requise
Training offered online in self-study mode. You can follow the lessons and exercises at any time, 24/7, for the duration of your access. A tutor is available by email. A summative evaluation is planned at the end of your training in order to validate your acquired knowledge.
