In April 2019, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued a digital competence reference framework that aims to develop our digital skills. This framework is defined by a set of skills relating to confident, critical and creative use of digital technology to achieve learning-related objectives. This framework is divided into 12 dimensions.

At the end of this training, the participant will be able to take a look at their critical thinking, because it is an essential culture in the digital age, and then discover the limits and benefits of using digital technology to get information. They will also be able to recognize fake news and its sources, as well as develop strategies to verify information. They will be able to better recognize their personal biases and their roles, and then develop prevention strategies with those close to them.

The web giants collect much more information about us than any state in the world. They lock us in bubbles where we mainly find people who think like us. As the traditional press loses more and more ground, it becomes essential to be vigilant and critical when we use digital content or tools. We must learn to recognize fake news, spot trickery and develop strategies to distinguish facts from rumors in order to decide whether to use or denounce information, and thus avoid spreading rumors.
